I often use the term ‘God’ and it concerns me that I rarely explain what I actually mean when I use that word…
I realize that it means different things to different people.
To some it is childish, to others sacred and to still others it can be quite offensive.
So please allow me to clarify my own understanding.
View Life, if you can, as if it were a major corporation.
It has a Head Office, branch buildings, customers, products, staff, an executive and a Board.
For the exercise let’s call it ‘God Incorporated’.
Its Board has a Chairperson.
This Chairperson is responsible overall for the safety of the corporation. At different times, depending on the state of the corporation, this position (in the case of God Incorporated) is filled by one or other of the Seraphim, a group of angelic Beings who are responsible for steering the organization.
Next comes the Chief Financial Officer.
This role (in the case of God Incorporated) is filled by a member of the Cherubim, a second group of angelic Beings who are responsible for accounting and records…..
The rest of the Board is comprised of various Elder Archangels.
Below them come the Senior Executives. These are chosen for their specific attributes as senior archangels or bodhisattvas.
Below them come company Supervisors, also selected from the ranks of angels and bodhisattvas.
Lower down we find the Workers. These have different levels of competency and are chosen from the vast ranks of ordinary earthly and interplanetary ‘human’ and ‘animal’ Beings.
At the bottom sit the customers. These consist of the somewhat unaware masses who are simply struggling to survive by using the corporations’ products.
GOD is none of these in particular.
And, at the same time, God is ALL of these.
God is the totality that expresses and creates ALL of these.
God is the ENTIRE corporation….who runs it, who manages it, what it creates, what it does, how it does it, who does what and when and how – and who buys, sells and uses its constantly evolving products, services and offerings.
This Totality of Activity and Movement is Love, Peace, Creation, Design, Formation, Innovation, Interaction, Change, Growth, Decay, Input and Output – both positive and negative.
God is ALL.
God is both the actual building, the corporation, its endeavours, its staff and executives and customers and products.
No jealousy.
No vindictiveness.
Only Support, as and when asked for.
For myself, I asked: “who am I then?”
The immediate answer was: “God being Les”.
“But I make so many mistakes and blunders!!” I replied.
“Only because you forget so easily who you are. If you and the rest of your mob remembered who they really were and started behaving accordingly Life would be a different scenario altogether”.
“So where do I fit into the scheme of things?” I asked.
I was quickly told: “When you’re asleep and unaware you’re an Idiot, first class. But when you wake up long enough your desk is in the basement: the window desk with the sign on it that says “Junior Trainee Communications Officer, second class”.
I was delighted with the promotion.
Such a big jump up from when I asked forty years ago (and was told ‘Servant’).
